राकेश तुझे सलाम ...

पिछले दिनों रिलीज हुई फिल्म "पीपली लाइव" काफी हिट रही. इसकी लोकप्रियता का अंदाजा इसी से लगाया जा सकता है कि मनमोहन सिंह और आडवाणी सरीखे लोग भी इस फिल्म को देखने के लिए समय निकाल लेते हैं. इस फिल्म में ग्रामीण भारत का हू बहू चित्रण किया गया है. साथ ही गाँव और शहर के अंतर को भी बखूबी दर्शाया गया है. लेकिन इस फिल्म के माध्यम से किसानों की आत्महत्या जैसी त्रासद खबर को भी मजाक का विषय बना दिया जाता है.फिर भी पीपली लाइव को कई अर्थों में लाइव कहा जा सकता है.

यूँ तो इस फिल्म में कई ऐसे किरदार है जो वर्तमान भारतीय राजनीतिक और सामाजिक-आर्थिक पहलू को सही सही दर्शाते है. लेकिन फिल्म में स्ट्रींगर की भूमिका अदा करने वाला पात्र राकेश दिल को छू जाता है. फिल्म का केंद्रीय पात्र नत्था बैंक के कर्ज अदायगी के नाम पर अपनी पुस्तैनी ज़मीन गवां बैठता है. इसी बीच एक स्थानीय नेता उसे यह बताता है कि आत्महत्या करने वाले किसानों के परिवार को सरकार एक लाख रूपया दे रही है. बस क्या था .बेबस नत्था आत्महत्या के लिए तैयार हो जाता है. राकेश को आत्महत्या की इस योजना का पता चल जाता है.उसकी यह एक्सक्लूसिव खबर अगले ही दिन एक लोकल पेपर में छप जाती है.यूँ तो किसानों की आत्महत्या अब कोई खबर नहीं रही है. लेकिन नत्था पीपली का रहने वाला है जहाँ होने वाले उप चुनाव में राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री भी एक प्रत्याशी है. अब तो खबर को लाइमलाईट में आनी ही थी. एक अंग्रेजी चैनल की एंकर को सबसे पहले इसकी सूचना राकेश के मार्फत मिलती है. किसानों के नाम पर पहले तो एंकर ने नानुकूर की. लेकिन चुनाव के कारण आत्महत्या की इस खबर की न्यूज़ वैल्यू भांपते हुए चैनल की एंकर पीपली आने को तैयार हो गई. फिर क्या था.देखते ही देखते पीपली में चैनल वालों का जमावड़ा हो गया. नत्था के तथाकथित आत्महत्या की दुखद खबर को टी वी कैमरों ने एक जश्न में तब्दील कर दिया .गाँव में मेला सा लग गया. अदना सा नत्था ख़बरों की सुर्ख़ियों में रहने लगा. बड़े ही बेशर्मी के साथ टेलीविजन कैमरों ने नत्था और उसके परिवार का जीना हराम कर दिया. आत्महत्या के लाइव कवरेज के नाम पर चैनल वालों ने क्या - क्या नहीं किया. देश की सत्तर प्रतिशत आबादी का खुले में टट्टी करने को ब्रेकिंग न्यूज़ बनाने से लेकर नत्था के "पैखाना" का मनोवैज्ञानिक विश्लेषण तक किया गया. इस पूरे प्रकरण में चैनलों की खबर मदारी के नाच की तरह था.

इस दौरान खास बात यह रही कि इस खबर को उजागर करने वाला राकेश उस अंग्रेजी चैनल की एंकर का पिछलग्गू बना रहता है. उसे वह नत्था से जुड़ी हर सूचना देता रहता है जिसके अनुसार चैनल अपनी स्टोरी प्लांट करता है. राकेश बड़े चैनल में काम करने का सपना संजोए रहता है. पर इसके सपने को उसी एंकर ने बायोडाटा लौटा कर चकनाचूर कर दिया.राकेश आज के वैसे पत्रकारों का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है जिसके लिए पत्रकारिता प्रोफेशन न हो कर पैशन है. जिसमे पत्रकारिये एथिक्स जिन्दा है. तभी तो राकेश पूछता है. नत्था हमारे लिए क्यों जरुरी है? खास कर जब उसी गाँव का दूसरा गरीब बूढ़ा किसान होरी महतो मिट्टी खोदते खोदते उसी मिट्टी में अपनी कब्र भी खोद डालता है.

चैनल वालों ने खूब वाहवाही लुटी. अपना टी आर पी बढाया. लेकिन खबर को उजागर करने वाला और उसकी तह तक जाने वाला राकेश हमेशा हाशिये पर ही रहा. शायद ख़बरों की यह दुनिया उसकी समझ से परे थी. तभी तो ख़बरों की तिजारत में वह फिट नहीं बैठा. जिसे सारा क्रेडिट मिलना चाहिए था, वही गुमनामी में जीने के लिए विवश हो गया. बेवजह जान भी गवां बैठा. एंकर का राकेश को फोन करना और फ़ोन नहीं उठाने पर भी बिना खोज खबर लिए यूँ ही चली जाना मन को विस्मित करता है. शायद अब उसको राकेश की जरुरत नहीं थी. मरने के बाद भी चैनल वालों ने राकेश की सुध तक नहीं ली. सवाल यह भी है कि अगर राकेश जिन्दा भी रहता तो क्या होता? क्या उसे उचित मंच मिलता? वह अपने अरमानों और विचारों को मूर्त रूप दे पाता? शायद नहीं. फिल्म में मीडिया के खेल को देख कर तो यही लगता है.

वैसे इस फिल्म में सरकारी व्यवस्था और नौकरशाही की भी खूब बखिया उघेड़ी गई है. सरकारी योजनाओ की दुर्गति को दर्शाता ''लाल बहादुर " हमारी सरकारी व्यवस्था के मुंह पर एक जोरदार तमाचा है. नेताओं की आपसी राजनीति में पिस रहे किसानों को भी फिल्म में खूब दिखाया गया है. फिल्म में कृषि मंत्री तो पवार साहब की याद दिलाते है। आखिरकार, कैमरे की डर से नत्था चुपचाप भाग कर शहर में मजदूर हो जाता है . उसकी पत्नी सुहागन होते हुए भी विधवा हो जाती है. और तो और आत्महत्या भी सरकारी दांवपेंच में फस जाता है.मुआवजे का एक लाख रुपये तो दूर की कौड़ी है. कुल मिलाकर फिल्म में बाबुओं के बर्चस्व को भी बखूबी दिखाया गया है.

अनुषा रिज़वी ने इस फिल्म में यह कहीं नहीं दिखाया कि सरकारी व्यवस्था में कोई सकारात्मक बदलाव संभव है. अगर ऐसा संभव होता तो शायद आत्महत्या की खबर के बाद कुछ बदलाव जरूर नज़र आता. जब बदलने वाले खुद ही बदल गए तो कुछ भी नहीं बदलेगा मेरे भाई! हमेशा राकेश मरता रहेगा और नत्था भागता...

Bandh –A Reality check

First time after liberalization country witnessed almost total bandh which gained massive support from public. Deserted streets, closed markets, people confined to their homes all speak the success story of the bandh. This bandh was manifestation of public anger towards the price hike.

Importance of bandh could be gauged from couple of things. Voluntarily and spontaneous participation of the people expresses seriousness of the issue. Common people of this country who used to be reluctant to any political agitation especially after liberalization were not indifferent to the bandh this time. Actually, without public support such an effective bandh was not possible. On the other hand, ideologically polar opposites, BJP and left parties came closer for the common cause. Though sates ruled by NDA and left parties witnessed near total bandh, it is vital to note here that bandh call also evoked a significant response in several non NDA, non left ruled states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Delhi.

Common man faces the worst hit of price hike. They are not able to manage their pocket. In such circumstances recent price hike of fuel product would alleviate the burden of already suffering people. Touching the nerve of common man and ill timing of price hike, opposition parties strike back to the government very firmly. Public anger against the failure of government policies to curb the price hike broke out in full swing during the bandh.

This bandh was a political need for opposition parties. They have already shown their hue and cry over this issue in the parliament. Now, it was term to protest on the streets. However, NDA and left parties strived to unite the whole opposition. But they failed to persuade the top brass of parties like RJD, BSP, LJP etc. These parties called bandh separately in their sates on another day. This actually is repetition of failure of opposition unity during the cut motion moved by BJP in budget session of the parliament.

The bandh certainly caused the inconvenience to the public by paralyzing their normal life. But it would be the misery of one day if government thinks to roll back of price hike and deregulation of price control of petroleum product. Meanwhile, ignoring the public mood government has denied to any roll back of price hike which eventually shows the apathy of government toward the plight of Aam Adami.

Honour or Dishonour

Now, the water has crossed the nose level. It is time to rethink & act. Let dishonour the killing for the sake of honour. It’s a nightmare. Multidimensional remedy is required to address the issue which includes social, political & legal aspects to way out the crisis.

Women are most vulnerable section especially in Indian society irrespective of their educational and economic background. Women’s subordination is justified by the name of stereotyped tradition and value system. We treat women like landed property in which no one can dare to encroach and men are natural guard of women. It seems, as if women have no logic & right wrong decision capacity. The brutal killing of their by own family member for the honour of society is highly condemnable.

It is quite apparent that traditions have their own significance in particular society. Inter cast marriages & marriages in same Gotra are strictly prohibited in some society. Traditions of north & south India are also different. Marriage with sister’s daughter is allowed in south but it is strictly prohibited in north India. It is also important to note that marriages of Hindus should be based only on Hindu marriage act. Our mythological scriptures have stories full of love & inter caste marriage like marriage of lord Krishna with Jamvanti, Bhima with Hidimba which were socially accepted. Lord Krishna Himself eloped His sister Subhadra to marry with Arjuna. One of the respected scripture the Vishnu-Purana mentions the marriage in same Gotra after seven generations. Hence, it needs to understand our tradition, nothing is universal. Culture is a dynamic concept.

It must be changed with time.

Caste is the reality in India. It prevails all around. Such type of so called honour killing is not confined to Khaps of Delhi, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan only. Recently the supreme court of India issued notice to centre and eight states in case related to honour killing. Numerical strength of these Khap like caste councils has their political importance also. Not a single politician of any political party came forward publicly to denounce the killer khap panchayat and their activities. Ironically some politician supported and boosted the mentality of Khaps. This is nothing but vote bank politics. Political parties have politicized the murder of Rizwanur & Soharabuddin. Why not they are opposing vehemently the killing abetted by these caste councils? They are not making hue & cry over the issue as it will loose the compact vote bank of any particular caste.

At legal front, fast track courts should be established for quick justice & culprit should be punished immediately to check further deterioration.

The so-called honour killing is a humanitarian disaster where women are raped and killed by their own family member for the sake of IZZAT. No matter who will marry to whom whether out side the caste or inside the gotra, these insane brutal activities must be forcefully checked. Otherwise, these caste councils would take the shape of local Taliban and start the moral policing.

The Bhopal Rage

Year 1984 was very tragic for India which witnessed the series of incidents which include immediate fallout of riots just after murder of then prime minister Indira Gandhi in which thousands of Sikhs were brutally massacred and just one month later in Bhopal gas tragedy thousands &thousands of innocent poor people were killed.

A quarter of century later, postmortem of Bhopal gas leak case is being done. Mystery reveals on daily basis. The recent outburst came after the judgment which is nothing but synonymous with mockery. Punishment for the crime of killing of 25 thousands people & injuring in lakhs is only two year imprisonment. This exactly called delayed &denied justice. Further, media report of high level governmental arrangements of safe passage for union carbide chief Waren Andrreson , has shaken the nation. People feel deceived and betrayed. In the city of dead and dying where politicians and bureaucrats should do all their best for victims but the preferred to utilize those valuables time for Mr.Andreson to made him flee the country.

This incident is blot to the democratic government where sovereignty is vested in people. Now, political firefighting has started. Opposition parties are targeting congress which in turn came in defensive mode.


Real cause of this whole episode is said by congress spokes person Manish Tiwari who blamed SYSTEM to flee Anderson &JURISPRUDENCE for delayed & denied justice. It is true. Our system is ill. It is subservient to the affluent whether people or nation. But , ask Mr. Tiwari who made this system and who run it?Who is responsible for change in jurisprudence? It is you (POLITICIANS & BUREAUCRATS) who made this system corrupt , bankrupt & emotionless. It is our system who allowed union carbide company to neglect the security & safety norms irrespective of their quantum of damage.


Ironically, it is system of America & style of Barack Obama who is ready to put his boot on throat of British Petroleum & demanding compensation not only for eleven died people but also for sea- animals on the name of ecosystem. But, it is our system which tolerate leaders of ruling & chief opposition party as a advocate and adviser of Dow chemicals who bought lethal union carbide. It is our system which is ready to accept such government .

Remember the statement of Vilfred Pereto who said that history has always been graveyards of aristocracy. Our system work under this USP otherwise our government would never fixed the cap of Rs.500 crore as compensation & rehabilitation in the case of nuclear accident under civil nuclear liability Bill for foreign operators.

Certainly , this system need to be operated , addressed & changed otherwise we are bound to be the mute spectators of Bhopal like tragedy.

कथा हरिद्वार से .

हरिद्वार में महाकुम्भ पर महा जमघट लगा हुआ है। देश विदेश से सैलानी भक्त आ रहे है। वहां एक उत्सव का माहौल बना हुआ है। मेरे जान पहचान के अधिकांश लोग हरिद्वार की पवित्र गंगा में डुबकीलगा चुके है।बस,मुझसे भी नहीं रहा गया और चल पड़ा गंगानहाने ।इस गर्मी मेंभी सुबह की ठंढ कंपा कर रख दी थी। खैर,श्रद्धा के साथ मैंने भी डुबकी लगाई और निकल पड़ा घूमने।

नज़ारा कुछ अलग सा लग रहा था। एक ओर गाँवदेहात के लोग माथे पर मोटरी लिए घूमते नजर आ रहे थे। वहीँ दूसरी ओर देश -विदेश से कथित संभ्रांत लोग भी आये थे। पर यहाँ भी संख्या में माथे पर गठरी लिए लोग ही ज्यादा दिख रहे थे। लग रहा था हरि के द्वार में भी गरीबी और अमीरी मौजूद है।

पूरेशहर में साधु-संतों के बड़े बड़े होर्डिंग ,बैनर , पोस्टर आदि लगे हुए थे। ये होर्डिंग ,बैनर भी बदले बाज़ार की तसवीर बयान कर रही थी। इन में से कुछ पर सन्देश भी अंग्रेजी में लिखे हुए थे। अपने अपने वेबसाइट का प्रचार था। साथ ही साथ सन्देश भी परंपरागत न होकर आधुनिक थे । मसलन हरि सुमिरन के बजाए स्टॉपएड्स ,कन्ट्रोल ग्लोबलवार्मिंग जैसे सन्देश लिखे हुए थे । आखिर,देववाणी संस्कृत को छोड़ अब ये लोग अंग्रेजी पर क्यों उतर आये।प्रचार के पारंपरिक तरीकों के बजाए अब वे सारे तरीके अपनाये जाते है, जो एक व्यवसाय करने वाली कंपनी अपनाती है। उपभोगतावाद के सुरसा ने प्रायः साधु-संतों को अपने आगोश में ले रखा है। गृहस्थों को त्याग का उपदेश देने वाले ऐसे लोग खुद ही उपयोग और उपभोग में अंतर भूल गए।

स्पष्ट है, यह सन्देश बहुसंख्यक तीर्थ यात्रियो के लिए नहीं था। उन्हें तो अंग्रेजी आती तक नहीं । देश के कुछ संभ्रांत लोगों तथा विदेशियों को आकर्षित करने का यह एक प्रयास है। उदारीकरण के इस दौर में जब धर्म व्यवसाय का अंग बन गया है, साधु भी कंपनी के सी ई ओ के तरह काम कर रहे है। अब वे राजनीति करतेहै, चैनलचलाते है , दवाइयों की कंपनीचलाते है,साबुन बनाते है, किताबें छपवाते है, खेती करवाते है, ड्रिंक्स तैयार करवाते है आदि आदि । जिस तरीके से राजनीति और मीडिया से बड़े बड़े धर्माचार्यों का जुडाव हो रहा है, आने वाला समयऔर भयावह होने वाला है।


पर मै तो हरि के द्वार आया था। सोंचा ऐसे विश्लेषणों से क्या फायद? मनही मन ईश्वर से प्रार्थना किया पहलेऐसे साधुओं को सदबुद्धि देना फिर उनके भक्तों को।

फिर भी होली मुबारक हो

घर से बाहर निकलने पर पता चलता है कि सड़कों पर होली जैसा माहौल है। बच्चें आते जाते लोगों पर पानी या रंग का गुब्बारा डाल रहे है। बाज़ार में रंग, गुलाल, पिचकारी की दुकान पर भीड़ लगी है। तभी मन बचपन की ओर लौट जाता है। उस समय को याद करने लगते है, जब मैं भी बच्चों के साथ होली खेला करता था। मन हर्षित हो जाता है। याद है, गाँव का वह दृश्य जब लोग टोली बनाकर ढोलक- झाल के साथ होली गाया करते थे। पूरा फागुन महीना ही होली के रंग में रंगीन रहता था। सामाजिक सौहार्द का यह एक अनूठा नमूना था। वैसे इस तरह के दृश्य भले ही यहाँ दिल्ली में देखने को न मिले पर आज भी गाँवों में होली का दृश्य कुछ ऐसा ही रहता है।

लेकिन, मन अचानक यह पूछता है कि आखिर लोगों का त्योहारों के प्रति इतनी उदासीनता क्यों है? लोगों की रूचि बदल गई या लोग पुराने त्योहारों के प्रति तटस्थ हो गए। नए नए फेस्टिबल या डे रिझाने लगा या फिर कुछ और । शायद लोगों की व्यस्तता बढ़ गई या महँगाई की मार पड़ गई या फिर करियर की चिंता सताने लगी। जीवन में आगे बढ़ने की चाह में हम इन चीजों को भूलते चले गए । कारण चाहे जो भी हो पर इतना तो सच है कि आज आदमी जीने की चाह में रोज़ मरता चला जा रहा है। हम आपसी प्रेम और सौहार्द बनाने वाले इन अवसरों को खोते जा रहे है, जो हमें इन त्योहारों से मिलाता है ।

वस्तुतः समाज का एक बड़ा तबका तो इन त्योहारों से अछूता है। वह अपने दाल- रोटी की जुगाड़ में इतना थक चूका होता है कि त्योहारों के लिए कोई उर्जा ही शेष नहीं बचती है। जब सारी कसरत रोटी के लिए ही कि जाये तो अन्य चीजों के लिए कोई जगह कहाँ बचती है। एक दूसरा तबका भी है,जो इतना सीमित और केन्द्रित हो चूका है कि इन अवसरों के लिए कोई स्थान रिक्त ही नहीं रखता। जो लोग अपने आप को बीच का मानते है, वो भी दिनोंदिन बढ़ती महँगाई, सिमटते सामाजिक दायरे और बेहतरी की आस में जीवन के रंगों को खोते चले जा रहें है। पर हमें एक ऐसे समाज की दरकार है जिसमें हर चेहरे पर गुलाल की लाली हो।

श्याम की फाग लीला

यह कोई भगवान श्री श्यामसुंदर की लीला का वर्णन नहीं है। यह है,बिहार के जे. डी. यू. विधायक श्याम बहादुर सिंह की लीला का गुणगान। यह कहानी पिछले शनिवार की है। रविवार (२० फरवरी ) को पटना में नीतीश जी ने महादलित रैली का आयोजन किया था। रात में भीड़ का मनोरंजन करने के लिए विधायक जी ने अपने सरकारी आवास पर बाहर से बुलाई गई बार बालाओं का डांस प्रोग्राम रखा। अब इन सुंदरियों का नृत्य देख कर श्याम का मन मयूर भी नाच उठा। वे अपने आप को रोक नहीं सके। विधायक जी ख़ुद श्याम हो गए और गोपियाँ तो आयातित थी ही। अब क्या था,श्याम का ठुमका लगने लगा। इस दौरान रूठने मनाने का भी खेल चला। कान पकड़ कर श्याम ने बार बालाओं के सामने आपनी बहादुरी दिखलाई। वैसे तो सत्ता का नशा था ही, शराब और शबाब ने इसे और मदहोश कर दिया। श्यामबहादुर यह भूल गए कि इस कृत्य की कोई प्रतिक्रिया भी होगी । श्याम बहादुर की बहादुरी तो देखिये अपनी बेटी की उम्र के बार बालाओं के साथ नाच -गान कर रहे थे।


बिहार के लिए यह कोई नई बात नहीं है। लालू जी भी अपने गरीब रैला में यह कारनामा दिखा चुके है। बस नई है,तो नीतीश जी के सुशासन का यह नया नमूना। यह हमारे बिहार के नीति निर्माता है। हमारे भाग्य-विधाता है। खैर, अगले दिन विधायक जी ने माफ़ी मांगी। कह रहे थे फाल्गुन का महीना है,ग़लती हो गई। बुरा न मानो होली है। जीरादेई का यह विधायक अपनी माफ़ी नामा में बार बार राजेंद्र बाबू को राष्ट्रपिता कह रहा था। जब पत्रकार बंधुओ ने बतलाया की राजेंद्र बाबू राष्ट्रपति थे ,तब उन्होंने का हाँ वही तो है। ऐसा है हमारे सत्ताशाली राजनेताओ का चाल चरित्र और चेहरा।

वैसे भी आजकल दलित प्रेम का नया चलन चला है। इस प्रेम प्रदर्शन में मारामारी है। कौन कितना प्रेम प्रदर्शित करता है। राहुल भैया का दलित प्रेम तो जग जाहिर है। गडकरी साहब को भी इंदौर में दलित प्रेम जागृत हुआ । नीतीश जी को इन सबों से ज्यादा दलित प्रेम रोग है। उन्होंने महादलित की नई श्रेणी ही बना डाली । सर पे चुनाव जो है। इन सबों से दलितों का कितना भला हो रहा है ,यह दलित भी जानते है और हम सब भी। दलितों का हाल किसी से छिपा नहीं है। सिर्फ उनके नाम पर राजनीति हो रही है। वोटबैंक की राजनीति । हमें ऐसे लोगों से निपटाना होगा। तरीका स्वयं खोजने की कोशिश करे।

Trapping Muslims in Reservation Politics

A seven judge bench of the Andhra high court gave a judgment on Muslim’s reservation recently. This is third time in Andhra where high court has struck down the religion based reservation which tantamount to violation of constitutional prohibition of discrimination based on religion.

Issuing an ordinance Govt. of Andhra provided the 4% reservation to certain groups within the Muslims designated as other Muslim groups .It has two main clues within itself. First to cope with 50% cap imposed by the supreme court in Indra Sawhney Vs Union of India case (1992). Second, to find the backward classes among the Muslims. But the supreme court has struck down on the basis of constitutional vice of the religion based reservation. It provided the incentive to conversion since any person who subscribe to the faith of Islam would be Muslim. It is the subversive of the spirit of secularism.

But ,it does not mean that groups within Muslims can’t be designated as backward class and can’t get benefits from reservations. But investigation of backwardness should be empirical & logistic and all of society should reveal that certain groups among Muslims are backward indeed. But it should not be confined to one religion also. If, backward class commission investigate empirically the backwardness in certain groups of minorities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christian, it is not against the constitution to treat them as backward class and to provide them facilities of positive discrimination.

Conditions of Muslims are highly pathetic in India which constitute considerable proportion in the demography of India. For development of India, Muslims should be developed. Politicians should think out of box. Don’t treat them as vote bank. Reports of Sachchar commission and subsequently recommendations of Rangnath Mishra commission show that we have to do something about them other then vote bank politics. Such reservations are one of the tool of vote bank politics rater than real spirit of development. It is not an end but a means for development. Recent announcement of 10% quota for backward Muslims in West Bengal is also a political sop to woo the Muslims which are major chunk of electorate in 105 out of 294 assembly constituencies.

But no one can deny the concept of positive discrimination. Equal should be treated equally and unequal should be treated unequally. We should take extra care for millions of those people who need the positive discrimination indeed. Our political system should be people friendly. Apart from reservations, they need some thing more.

वैसे तो लापतागंज का पता सिर्फ शरद जोशी को ही है। लेकिन सब टी. वी. पर दिखाया जाने वाला यह धारावाहिक काफी लोकप्रिय हो गया है। पिछले दिनों इस धारावाहिक में कबड्डी के खेल पर आधारित कुछ कहानियों को दर्शाया गया । यह काफी प्रासंगिक लग रहा था । इस में दिखाया गया की किस तरह से राष्ट्रीय कबड्डी टीम के साथबरताव किया जा रहा है । उन खिलाड़ियों के साथ खिलाड़ी जैसा नहीं बल्कि भिखारी जैसा बरताव किया जा रहा है। उनको कोई स्पोंसर नहीं मिलने पर खाने के नाम पर ब्रेड और केला मिल रहा है। दूसरी तरफ खिलाड़ी भी टीम और देश के लिए नहीं बल्कि खुद के लिए खेल रहे है

वस्तुतः यह हाल भारत में कई खेलों के साथ है। हाल ही में हॉकी की कहानी सबों ने सुनी है। किस तरह से हॉकी टीम को पैसा के लिए गिडगिडाना परा ।और बाद में किस तरह से हमारे देश के खेल मसीहा लोग सामने आये । यह हाल हमारे उस खेल का है, जिसने कई बार देश में टीम के रूप में ओलम्पिक जीत कर आया है। यह भारत की खेल भावना की दुर्दशा है। वैंकुवर में शीतकालीन ओलम्पिक चल रहा है। वहाँ हमारे खिलाड़ियों की हाल यह थी कि उनके पास उचित ड्रेस तक नहीं था । बाद में वहाँ के रहने वाले खेल प्रेमियों ने उनकी मदद कि।

सच तो यह है कि खेल , खेल न रह कर व्यापार हो गया है। खेलों को जब तक कोई स्पोंसर नहीं मिलता खेल मार्केट में टिक नही पता। इसके लिए क्रिकेट को दोष नहीं दे सकते। हमें अपने दूसरे अन्य पारंपरिक खेलों को प्रोत्साहित करना पड़ेगा । आज गाँव -गाँव में ऐसे कई प्रतिभाएं है ,जिनका पोषण कर हम अपनी खेल प्रतिभा का लोहा मनवा सकते है । लेकिन इसके लिए खेल के बाजार को गाँव तक जाना होगा। यह कार्य सरकार और जनता को मिल कर करना होगा । और कुछेक खेलों के बजाये हमें कई विकल्पों पर सोचना होगा ।

लो, फिर आया ये प्रेम दिवस

Valentine day आया है। प्रेम प्रदर्शन का अनोखा दिवस । सड़कों के किनारे फूल वालों की चाँदी ही चाँदी है। गुलाब के फूल सैकड़ों रुपये में बिक रहे है । गिफ्ट खास कार चोकलेट्स,सोफ्ट टोयस आदि कीबिक्री खूब हो रही है। खैर ,मुझे Valentine day के अर्थशाश्त्र में नहीं जाना है। मै तो बस इतना जानना चाहता हू Valentine day क्यों । मै १४ फरवरी के इतिहास में भी नहीं जाना चाहता हू। सब को पता है ।

क्या प्रेम प्रदर्शन को किसी खास दिवस की आवश्यकता है । और लाख टके का सवाल यह है कि क्या प्रेम को सहीमें किसी खास दिवस और प्रदर्शन कि जरुरत है? प्रेम ,अंतर्मन की नैससर्गिक भावना है, जो स्वयं प्रकट है। इसे किसी सहारे की जरुरत नहीं है। हाँ,जहाँ तक अभिव्यक्ति का सवाल है,तो हम प्रेम को अभिव्यक्त कर सकते है।पर यह एक सुनियोजित तरीका से किसी खास दिवस पर ही हो,व्यवहारिक नहीं लगता । अर्थात, प्रेम जो स्वयं मुक्त है ,को दिवसों की बन्धनों से मुक्ति की जरुरत है ।

वस्तुतः ये सारे दिवस पश्चिमीकरण ,आधुनिकीकरणऔर सास्कृतिक साम्राज्यवाद जैसे सुनीयोजित प्रयासों का हिस्सा है। राधा कृष्ण की इस धरती पर किसी Valentine की जरुरत नहीं है। हद तो तब हो जाती है ,जब एक एक व्यक्ति एक से अधिक लोगो को valentine का प्रस्ताव देते है। मै तो सिर्फ इतना कहना चाहता हू की जिस तरीके से इन दिवसों का संस्थानिकीकरण हो रहा है कही मूल वस्तु(प्रेम ) ही कमजोर न हो जाय । क्योंकि जो दिखाया जाता है वह दिखावा है।

Students agitation in Bihar

Bihar has recently witnessed a different kind of student agitation which became violent. Students went on rampage demanding action against some private coaching institute which they claimed had duped them .Students violent protests against coaching centers shaken up the Bihar and unfortunately taken the valuable life of an student.

Here two questions arises? First, about the cause of agitation and second about the nature of agitation. Students have argued that mushrooming coaching institutes are failed to meet their promises made to them. Coaching institutes are basically business groups. Their prime target is making money. In order to gather the crowd , they made promises to maximum limit and eventually failed to do so .But real issue is different .Why students need coaching ?Government education system is not adequate to full-fill the aspirations of students which must be upgraded and should be universal. Huge amount of money is being spend by poor students for the coaching.

Nature of agitation is not per students norms. It seems that some anti social elements have distorted the whole episode. They used pistols, bombs etc besides the ransacking the city &setting the vehicles fire. It is not the way of students agitations.

Bihar is the land of JP where student movement was able to change the scenario of the nation.JP had realized the potentials of youths. Government of Bihar should nurture the talent &made the quality education available to them.

Politics of Bt brijal

Issues of Bt brinjal is being warmly debated .It is India’s first genetically modified food crop which on moratorium now .Bt brinjal is created by inserting a gene from the soil bacterium Bacillus thuringenesis .It will protect plant from a very common pest of brinjal Shoot and Fruit borer .But it is being opposed by several NGOs ,farmer groups, scientists etc

But question arises why NO TO Bt BRINJAL ? India is second largest producer of brinjal after China. India produces 85 lakh metric ton brinjal per annum which amounts to 27%of world production. In-spite of the fact that brinjal is not so nutritious than other staple food.11 states of India have already banned it’s cultivation. It is also banned in several other countries including European union.. Scientist have termed it a threat on biodiversity and harmful on long term uses .
In-fact giant seed companies and big MNCs have larger say on all these issues. But interest of people and indigenous food varieties should be protected.

मुंबई मेरी जान

पिछले कुछ दिनों से मुंबई की चर्चा जोर पर है। सवाल हो रहे है कि मुंबई किसकी है। मेरा कहना है ,सवाल पूछे ही क्यों जा रहे है। आज जब राहुल गाँधी से लेकर RSS तक सब लोग मुंबई को संपूर्ण राष्ट्र का अंग मानते है। कल वही लोग उत्तर भारतीयों के पीटे जाने पर चुप क्यों थे। वोट बैंक पोलिटिक्स ही इसका कारण है। जब महाराष्ट्र में चुनाव होते है ,तब मराठी राग अलापा जाता है। जब बिहार में ,तब उत्तर भारतीयों का ।
मुंबई ही नहीं संपूर्ण भारत सबों के लिए है। गन्दी राजनीति देश को तोड़ने का काम कर रही है। अपनी रोटी सेंकने के लिए हमारे चूल्हे बुझा दिए जाते है। पेट पर लात मार दिया जाता है। हमें उनकी इस करतूत को समझना होगा , नहीं तो हम चाल मे फँस जायेंगे। अगर किसी को महाराष्ट्र से प्रेम है ,तो वह संपूर्ण प्रदेश के विकास क़ी बात करेगा। न की सिर्फ मुंबई की। विदर्भमें किसानो की आत्महत्या ,गढ़चिरौली का नक्सलवाद ,मराठवाडा का पिछड़ापन,कोंकण का भूमाफिया आदि ऐसे कई कारण है, मुंबई पर चर्चा करने के लिए। मराठी माणूस का भला इन समस्यओं के समाधान में है।
मुंबई वैसे भी किसी एक का नहीं है। कोली समाज ,पुर्तगाल , अंग्रेज ,पारसी,मारवाड़ी गुजराती सबों ने मिल कर मुंबई को मुंबई बनाया है। आज भी मुंबई अम्बानी ,टाटा ,बच्चन हिंदी फिल्म उद्योग ,आदि -आदि के लिए जाना जाता है। मुंबई किसी की बपौती नहीं है। मै भी मुंबई को केंद्र शासित प्रदेश बनाने का समर्थन करता हूँ ।

गणतंत्र दिवस आया है. हम सब लोग धूम मचा रहें है .चारो तरफ जय जय कार है.पर गण की भी अपनी कथा है.उसकी व्यथा है .पर कीसको उसकी पड़ी है .अभी तो उसकी संख्या पर भी वीवाद है .सक्सेना कमिटी कुछ और कहती है ,तो तेंदुलकर कमिटी कुछ और .प्लानिंग कमिटी तो बल्ले बल्ले . गण ,तंत्र व्यवस्था में तो है ही नहीं .गण की पीड़ा को महसूस करने का दिवस है गणतंत्र दिवस .शान पट्टी तो हम दिखाते ही रहते है। अभी न पाकिस्तान को IPL में दिखाया है .ऑपरेशन पराक्रम में भी दिखा कर छोड़ दिया था .राजपथ पर भी आज दिखया गया है .आगे देखते है, इस दिखने दीखाने के खेल में गण को कौन देखता है

Today was solar eclipse. News channels depicting it as supernatural & mythical .Everyone has fundamental right to propagate it's faith. But media has it's one responsibility.
